Pushing Forward with Purpose: DWC #70 Shines Bright at Charlotte

The BetMGM 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway wasn’t just another stop on the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule—it was a statement. A tribute. And a reminder of what matters most.

Memorial Day weekend carries weight. It’s a time to pause, remember, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. And this year, DWC showed up with more than speed. We brought meaning—wrapped in steel, horsepower, and red, white, and blue.

Leland Honeyman Jr. took the wheel of the #70 DWC Chevrolet, dressed in a bold, throwback-inspired tribute to our nation’s fallen heroes. It was a design that turned heads in the garage and stirred hearts in the stands. But more than that, it carried a message: we race with purpose.

Starting deep in the field at P30, Leland had work to do—and he delivered. With sharp moves and relentless focus, he carved his way through the pack, driving the DWC car into 12th place. At one point, his lap times were just 0.01 seconds off the leader’s pace. That’s not luck—that’s a team dialed in and a driver pushing the limits.

But Charlotte can be cruel. With about 15 laps to go, a late-race wreck stacked up in front of him. Despite quick reflexes, Leland was caught in the chaos, ending the day with a 32nd place finish.

It wasn’t the result we wanted—but it was everything we stand for.

This race was a reminder that being Driven to Grow isn’t just a slogan. It’s our standard. We move forward with meaning. We race with heart. And we’ll be back—stronger, faster, and more committed than ever. As always, check out our race photos, and we'll catch you next time at the track!
